Kula is a word in Sanskrit that can be translated to mean tribe, community, or family. We're a relaxed, people-centered yoga studio in Glendale, with classes and events for any body 7 days a week.

Our mission is to be a comfortable and encouraging environment for any body to feel welcome, included, capable, and challenged. We provide opportunities to hang out with other cool, like-minded people, grow in wellness in body + mind + spirit, and spread peace to that crazy world out there.

We have a roomy hang out area, two large restrooms, a small retail shop, and two yoga rooms in a fresh and comfortable space.

Events and workshops
Extended Restorative Practice
​
Restorative is for beginner to advanced students and allows the physical and mental body release and relax as the body is fully supported with props to eliminate any physical sensations and allow for complete relaxation.
​
This extended practice will consist of gentle warm up, restorative asana held for 3-12 min each with the full support of props including blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps.
​
Finish the practice with savasana and sound bath to rejuvenate mind/body/soul.

Two hour practice exploring the breath and how it influences our daily life as well as our yoga asana (poses/postures). Learn anatomy involved with pranayama (breathwork) techniques to help calm the mind and body while enhancing overall well-being. This class is available to all level students and will increase your understanding of the breath.
Teachers will receive 2 hours of CE with Yoga Alliance

20 hour Restorative Yoga Training
​
Learn how to create and offer restorative yoga classes with a multitude of restorative poses, modifications, and variations to accommodate different bodies and abilities. This training will cover the nervous system as well as the Stress Response and Rest/Digest.
Explore how to enter the poses, exit, and contraindications. Review ways to theme classes to accommodate specific populations or ailments.
Practice teaching and writing sequences.
Over three days:
Friday 4p-8p, Saturday and Sunday 11a-7p
Breaks will be offered.

Jodi is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and education provider: 500 RYT, 200 E-RYT, YACEP, CBC-Y She has been teaching since 2019 and is passionate about hold space for all bodies and needs.

Holiday Reset
Gather up your comfiest yoga clothes and all your yoga props to reset in the midst of the hustle of the holiday season. Be guided through slow, gentle movement and restful restorative poses. Enjoy guided meditation, pranayama, and eye pillows throughout the practice.
No experience needed, all levels welcome, and lots of options for different bodies will be given. Afterwards, bring home key postures and breathing techniques to practice at home throughout this busy time of year.
